the edmontonian at SOS Fest

And…now…we’re done talking about SOS Fest. (After you watch the video anyway.)

See you next year, SOS!

Remember how I said that the 105 Street stage was late in getting set up? Well, it all worked out.
Whyte Avenue had another stage at Gateway Boulevard (103 Street) and closed out the SOS Fest with a street party. (It’s also Whyte’s annual summer street sale.)
What a weekend!

What a weekend!

Kaley Bird is SOS Fest Organizer. I bet she’s going to sleep in Monday.

The only real glitch to the weekend happened Sunday morning. Some of the equipment for the 105 Street stage was late.
This photo was taken when the second band of the day should have been playing.

Darb Erickson looks after Whyte Avenue’s nightlife. He’s been a busy guy at this weekend’s SOS Fest.

The Swiftys
This is electric maverick country. And it’s good. I’ve tried to see them once or twice and it just never panned out, so I’m glad I got the chance at SOS Fest.
It’s amazing that a couple of my favourite shows this weekend would be called country, since it’s not usually a genre I turn to.

Lyra Brown is the best.

Lyve on Whyte’s Jay Sparrow on the SOS Fest, and re-branding Whyte Avenue as a live music destination.
